This allows the accurate alignment of two rotating shafts i.e. motors to pumps, fans, generators, gearboxes etc. Utilising calibrated Pruftechnik Optalign laser equipment we can achieve alignment tolerances to less than 0.05mm.
We also stock an extensive range of shims to allow prompt and accurate alignment to be carried out.

Poor alignment or misalignment is the name given if the centrelines of two shafts don’t run in the same axis. Poor alignment means:
- Premature bearing, seal, shaft and coupling failures
- High Bearing and coupling temperatures
- Excessive vibration
- Looseness of foundation bolts
- The breaking (or cracking) of shafts at, or close to the inboard
- High power consumption
